Hey everyone, my name is Koy Blanchard. Disc golf has been a huge part of my life for the past 7 years. I've loved disc golf since the very first time I played on a small 9 hole course in Henderson, NV. I was born into a family with 4 older brothers, and we are all extremely competitive. Disc golf is no exception of that. I've found that competing is the number one way to push myself to become a better disc golfer. I didn't think it was possible, but I dreamed of becoming a professional disc golfer. Though I'm no touring pro, I have acheived that goal. Now my goal is to help other disc golfers acheive their dreams. I created Summit Disc Golf with the mission to provide disc golfers with the opportunities and tools they need in order to reach their goals to become better at the sport. Why did I start it???
Have you ever heard the saying, "Drive for show, putt for dough?" This has been the epitome of my life as a disc golfer. Driving has always been the strongest part of my game, and I've always struggled to be a good putter. You know what I've noticed??? A lot of people are in that same boat. I wanted to help local club members become better putters by starting a putting league, but because of a lack of a place to do it and Covid-19 restrictions, I had the idea of doing a virtual putting league! I shared the idea with my brothers and a cousin, and they loved it! They even said they would want to participate! Then I had this great idea... what if I made it so anyone could paticipate no matter where they are. Summit Disc Golf Virtual Putting League was created so that anyone can have the opportunity to increase their putting skills in a competitive setting. I'm excited to see how this putting league works out!
